Breeding in the Fall for puppies to be available Winter 2024!!
We are located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania (15 minutes South of Harrisburg, PA and about 45 minutes north of the Maryland border). We are conveniently just minutes off the PA Turnpike and Route 15.
Puppies can be delivered via Puppy Nanny in the United States for an additional fee. We can also meet you at our local airport if you would choose to fly to pick up your puppy. You are also welcomed to pick them up in our home.
We feed our dogs Purina Pro Plan. We always recommend slowly introducing new dog food if you are going to feed them something else.
Pomsky coats are typically somewhere between a husky coat and a Pomeranian coat but they are dual coated and should NEVER be shaved. They are soft and fluffy but have a wonderful silky quality. Most the dead hairs will sit in the coat until you brush them out so shedding is not a big issue with regular brushing. They do blow coat in the summer and for about a month they will shed like crazy, but again, this can be controlled with more frequent brushing. You can take them to a groomer but only to have their coats blown out or for a slight sanitary trim especially for the wooly coats.
Pomsky personalities will vary but they all have some Pom traits and some husky traits. They are very smart and easy to train. I train and show them for obedience and rally, they have a great attention span and are so much fun to train! They typically will howl like huskies but only on occasion. They can be escape artists like huskies but do not wander to the same degree. You will want to be sure your yard is secure because some of them can jump fairly high which is great for agility training!
An F1 is a first generation pomsky, meaning they are 50% husky and 50% Pomeranian. This is from the breeding of a Siberian Husky and Pomeranian. F2 is the breeding of 2 F1 pomskies.
All of our puppies are sold on a strict spay/neuter agreement. We require proof of spay and neuter by 12-18 months of age. Exceptions are only made if surgery must be delayed due to illness (with documentation from vet) OR for licensed/approved breeders. Veterinarians recommend early spade/neutering as studies show that dogs will get along better with other animals when the procedure occurs earlier in their lives.
